Oh my Gourd! The elementary had a blast in art this week. Thanks to a donation from Barry, Alex, & Mary Eldal, every single student in the elementary got to paint their own gourd. This morning they were displayed in the commons so parents could pick them up after conferences!

Congratulations to Lexi Brown! She qualified individually for the state cross country meet with a 3rd place finish at the Panorama District meet tonight. Lexi will compete at state on October 30th in Fort Dodge!

10/16 Friday Celebration: 3-5 Drawings

On Friday, Kindergarten visited 3 Bee Farms near Griswold, and had a great time learning about bees and pollination. This is a topic they will be exploring in their reading curriculum over the next few weeks, so it was wonderful to give the students a little preview and connect their learning to a real-life experience! Along with learning about bees, the class also got to explore a corn maze, enjoy a hayride, and play on the farm playground. What a fun day filled with learning, exploring, and making memories!

Regional Volleyball Information:

EEHK will host East Union on Monday, October 19 starting at 7:00pm

You can purchase tickets on bound, or we will have a limited cash box.

Admission for regionals is $10.00, and season passes do not work.
All children kindergarten and below get in free.

Last night we had a blast at our MATILDA-themed Literacy Night. Our One School One Book is revealed, we had fun stations, the families seemed to enjoy themselves, and we're SO beyond grateful to our guest presenters: Elk Horn Library, Iowa PBS, Sara Zimmerman & RJ Pasquale, and the Audubon Cattlemen who grilled up some delicious burgers! It was a night to remember!
